Expanse is the oldest ETH fork at Chain ID 2, and needs a more innovative way of trade that allows us to elude the uncertainty of CEX practices and listing fees by utilizing a cross-chain bridge protocol for DEX implementations and strong community-provided Expanse liquidity pools. Cross-chain access is the perfect way to make Expanse an attractive choice for production deployment of EVM Dapps over chains such as AVAX which can require substantially more financial barriers-to-entry. Expanse has all the power we loved about ETH, with fast transaction times(21s avg), 60 block max reorg[1st confirmed block number + 61 is considered *officially* confirmed block number = 21 minutes avg til guaranteed confirmation](specs for anyone running a pool or bridge for Expanse), and ridiculously cheap gas prices. Amazing EVM testchain prototyping and seemless integration of web3 codebases prototyped with EXP to other EVM and EVM interface support chains. Of course, Expanse mainnet deployment is a breeze of ease; as nodes provide a JS-enabled CLI environment via RPC and IPC, vast configuration options for any environment, and runs smoothly on any known operating systems(Linux popular-distros, Darwin(MAC OS), Windows). Linux is the recommended node environment for configuration and best node stability over long uptimes. (Windows GEXP nodes require a 'C^' control code to be sent into the IPC/RPC of the node's STDIN programmatically for proper programmatic shutdown.)
(Linux shell commands send proper exit calls to GEXP for easier shutdown and restart without blockchain corruption. Any forcekilling of the process will cause a corruption of the node's blockchain sync, and likely require a resync(takes about an 1 hour or 2). To ensure blockchain corruption doesn't happen, when a GEXP node needs to be shutdown for any reason, it must be shutdown from within itself. This can be manually done with ctrl-d, or ctrl-c pressed in the terminal of a running GEXP process. Do not ever use Windows OS powershell or cmd prompt commands to shutdown GEXP, also don't use the task manager to shut down the process. Definitely dont manually shut down the running terminal window with the exit button. However non-graphical environments can send the proper data with Linux terminal OS commands in shell scripts to have a script that shuts down the daemon GEXP process perfectly. Ensure gexp.exe is not running anymore before machine shutdown inside your script, then conduct anything you desire until you relaunch GEXP again. These are the best ways to avoid this problem with corruption and resyncing. Also full sync is the most stable and recommended node mode for any production nodes. Due to full sync size being quite small in comparison to other chains, it's practical to run a full node and use a local(LAN) boot node for blockchain backups and faster resyncing on the fly if needed.

Expanse staff available around the timezones on the Expanse Discord, new website coming soon, and huge node upgrades this year that don't disrupt compatibility with any EVM interfaces. Our current developers and users express need of a bridge to avoid CEX and safely trade cross-chain assets for Expanse to participate in existing Dapp infrastructures. We strongly believe a bridge for Expanse is the perfect addition to kick off these updates, while accepting liquidity from other networks to get some Expanse for whatever one desires.

Full-Synced GEXP Nodes are very lightweight on system resources and network bandwidth; most importantly storage too(only 7GB required; 8-10 GB recommended). Users can transact off their own nodes for local RPC use using the Mist Wallet and MetaMask Wallets with some know-how. These nodes support direct RPC solo mining `getwork` via Ethminer, and we also have long-standing pools listed. This list was 3x as big before Bittrex cut off USA customers. miningpoolstats.stream/expanse

Another reason why the team seeks alternative liquidity methods.

**Last but not least, Expanse is a great EVM for bridges to use to route calls to because of how cheap gas prices are for transactions and smart contracts. We have the best vision for what EVM should be!**

Thankfully even without good CEX listings, or a bridge, Expanse is very easy for former ETH miners to mine solo and commit their own block(s) quickly to have enough EXP for well over 100,000 mainnet transaction fees. (Less than 24 hours mining solo with 300Mh/s as of this writing)
